We are going to hold the `3th Kanna mountain run and walk (KMRW)` this autumn.
The 3th KMRW will be hold in Kanna town where is located in `Nishi-Joshu` (west of Gunma Prefecture). The Nishi-Joshu mountain area has many characteristic lower mountains, many impressive rock peaks, beautiful hamlet of Japanese original scenery, religious faith and the milk of human kindness. If you will come here, you can fully meet and feel them.
And the area where the Kanna-river flow is called `Okutano` area. The Okutano which is part of Nishi-joshu located from Tokyo only 2-3 hours by car. The start and goal point of KMRW are old Manba street which is looked like Showa era local scenery. We go into old mountain path that only a local person knows, we can meet old nice pass, Ishibotoke (small rock Buddha), small shrine of Yamano-Kami (God of mountain), Fudouson (God of fire), old castle site and etc. And you can see rich nature and clear stream, and may feel the sign of many wild animal. You always catch the sight of a village and a life way in the valley from the trail, and feeling that you are always connected with humans and the village.

We invite the 1st runners in the super pair class to Nivolet Revard competition in France.
※The traveling expenses to France will be given by Kanna Mountain Run and Walk executive committee.
※The staying expenses for joining Nivolet Revard competition will be given by Nivore ribardo executive committee.
※When the 1st runners refuse the prize, the next place runners will be able to acquire the same prize same as 1st runner.

start from “Mochigura” by 1:30 pm(within 7.5h)

■Competition rules |

1: It is time-race for certain mountain course.(ranked by time result)
2: You have to stop the race and go down a mountain by staff’s car.
-if you could not pass each control gate in time.
-if the time-limit for the race passed after you passed one control gate
3:Please do not go down a mountain without any contacts with staff.
4:When the racing in the Super-pair class, a pair of runners always run within 10 meter each other.
There is a possibility of becoming a disqualification if you could not keep this interval.
5:The runner has a possibility to interrupt the race when the staff judges that it is difficult to continue the race.
6:The runner who abstain or break off the race must offer staff your default.
If you down a mountain without any permission, you will be not able to entry this race next year.
7: If the whether becomes worse, the judges may elect to discontinued the race.
8:You cannot use stocks and canes while racing.
9:A runner will be disqualified:
Who does not respect natural conservation.
Who violates the race rules and does not follow the staff’s instruction.
Who lies for the entry.
Who does not wear his/her race number.
Who throws rubbish on the course.
Who cheats or is in any way dishonest. |

■The influence of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant |

Kanna town is far from the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant more than 200km. In addition, the damage and the influence caused by the radiation are not reported in our town. We can enjoy trail running and a meal safely. We measure a radiation dose regularly from now on and try for safety management. Please come to our town with relief and enjoy your running. |
